How to Add Windows and Doors

RedX Walls makes it easy to add doors and windows to any wall in your structure, with full control over sizing, placement, and framing details.

Adding a Door

1. Open the House Tools and scroll down to find Add Door.
2. Choose from common door sizes (e.g. 36" x 80") or tap Add Manual to enter a custom size.
3. Select which wall to place the door on. Make sure you're on the correct floor using the Level Selector.
4. The door will auto-center on the wall by default. Switch to top-down view for easier positioning.
5. Select the door and drag it to reposition, or tap the measurements to set an exact distance (e.g. 4 feet from the edge).

Adding a Window

1. Open the House Tools and tap Add Window.
2. Choose from common window sizes or enter a custom size.
3. Position the window on your wall the same way as a door.

Editing Opening Settings

Select any door or window and open its settings to customize:

• Opening width and height
• Jack studs and king studs count
• Top sill plate — single or double
• Header material (e.g. 2x10) and number of header plies
• Top of opening height (default 6'8", adjustable)

All changes update in real time so you can see the framing adjust as you go.

Window Shapes

In the window settings, you can convert a standard window to:

• Angled window
• Curved window — with an adjustable radius

A shape preview is shown as you make changes.
