How to Convert a Wall to a Rake Wall

RedX Walls lets you convert any straight wall into a rake wall, either automatically from a roof or manually with custom dimensions.

With a Roof Attached

1. Select between the rafters to choose a roof side.
2. Tap Convert to Gable — the wall below will auto-convert into a rake wall.

Without a Roof Attached

1. Select the wall and open the wall properties.
2. Tap Convert to Rake Wall.

Editing Rake Wall Dimensions

When there's no roof attached, you have full manual control:

• Peak position — set the rake wall peak to the left, middle, or right.
• Rake angle — set a specific pitch (e.g. 4/12). You can switch between pitch and degrees based on your default settings.
• Start wall height — the height on one side (e.g. 9 feet). The app will calculate the other side based on your angle.

Ignore Angles for Full Control

For maximum flexibility, set Ignore Angles to true. This removes the pitch constraint and lets you set both the start and end wall heights independently (e.g. 9 feet on one side, 12 feet on the other).
